“The memory of the righteous will be a blessing,” Proverbs 10:7

Bear in mind is said when something important is to be remembered. This originated from the word bear, which means to be directed or to tend.
The other day I was scrolling down the rabbit hole of social media and I read something @franklin_graham which made me stop and really think. His post said, “Only two defining forces have ever offered to die for you, Jesus Christ and The American Soldier. One died for your soul; the other for your freedom.” Wow, this really touched me.
Last week was Memorial Day, a day we set aside to honor all our military who have died while defending our freedom. It’s easy for us to take our freedom for granted because we’ve always had it but I think it’s important to be mindful of the sacrifices others have made.
It’s also easy to forget about the gravity of the sacrifice Jesus did for us all. He surrendered His life for our soul, giving us eternal life. We no longer have to fear death, all we have to do is believe.
