A show of good faith

“Now faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see.”
Hebrews 11: 1

A show of good faith means to demonstrate your intentions of doing what is honest and sincere. Your actions back up who you say you are.
I think most of us take our faith for granted. When I was a kid, I believed in God because my parents believed. He was an intricate part of my childhood and I never questioned His validity. As I got older, the worlds values began to creep in and I began to have questions about who God really was.
This is where we just have to have faith. Faith is having complete confidence and believing with conviction. There are questions we’ll not know the answer to on this side of heaven but the good news is we don’t have to know all the answers. I love 2 Corinthians 5:7, “We live by faith, not by sight.” Those seven words sum up how simplistic our faith has to be. We don’t need to be over analytical because we’re to have childlike faith.
We are entering the second week of Advent and this candle is often referred to as the “Bethlehem Candle” as it symbolizes faith. Advent is derived from the Latin word “adventus” which means “coming” or “arrival” so you can see how this season before Christmas came to be as we commemorate the coming of the Messiah. This is the perfect time for us to reflect on the faith Mary and Joseph had as they embarked on their journey to Bethlehem. I can’t imagine traveling on the back of a donkey in my last trimester of pregnancy, but that’s exactly what she did.
So, during this week of reflection, it’s a wonderful opportunity to thank God for all He has done for us and a chance for our faith to grow stronger as we prepare our hearts to celebrate His birth. When we have the chance to show good faith, we need to seize the opportunity so we can share the love of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
Do you mean third or last trimester?
