“No one knows about that day or hour, not even the angels in heaven,
nor the Son, but only the Father.”
Matthew 24:36

KEPT IN THE DARK
Kept in the dark means to deliberately refuse to give information to keep someone uninformed about a particular situation. This is a metaphorical comparison to being in darkness.
I love Spring and watching life below the surface of the earth push towards light after a harsh winter. One of the earliest flowers to show is the Lenten Rose which is a resilient flower erupting into bloom to signify the start of Lent. Lent is the forty-day period before Easter where Christians reflect on what Christ has done for us.
As Christians, this is a specific season when we can deepen our relationship with Jesus with some choosing to give up something. This is a wonderful for us to deliberately spend time in God’s Word so we can intentionally reflect the light of Christ so no one will be kept in the dark.
Just as the flowers will stay in darkness without the sun, we too cannot bloom with the fruit of the Spirit without God’s Son in our life.
